Musical Documentation or Stupid Sensationalism, You decide!
I was pretty widely know that Linda McCarthy, God rest her soul, was not a very good musician. She couldn't sing or play piano very well. It is widely rumored that she was NEVER in the mains at a live show and nothing she ever played in the studio ever made the final cuts. She did however seem like a great person, wife and mother, which is why I fell a little bad about posting these, but I will anyway…
This is an apparent monitor mix of Linda at an early 80’s McCartney/Wings show. You have to appreciate a man who is loved by the entire world, knows his wife isn't that good, but lets her play in the band anyway. True love? I guess I would have to say…yes. Unless, of course, she was Yoko Ono...grrr...
Linda McCartney. Great Person. Bad Singer.
Buddy Rich…Mr. Nice Guy
These other links are that of a Mr. Buddy Rich. Drummer and apparent A-hole extraordinaire! I was a big Buddy fan growing up. My Dad gave me his records and I would practice to them for hours. Back then, he was a god, but if these tapes are real, he is the devil. These made me feel so bad, because my Dad gave me the records at a young age. And I guess because I had a great Dad (he was a drummer, man!) and great childhood, I always associated Buddy as a good lovin' guy with a heart of gold and a crazy set of drumming hands. Crazy he was, but no heart of gold! You can see transcripts of these conversations HERE
Careful, he uses horrible language...

I'd much rather listen to Linda McCartney for 24 hours straight then listen to Yoko Ono for 2 seconds.
